Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I'm going to try to make it similar to what I had written, but there's so much more that I probably can't remember I said that I want to say in response to your post. I'm sorry you went through all you have and I'm glad you're in a better place now. A lot of your story I really really relate to. I was in a relationship and marriage like yours and got pg when he was abusing me. There's so much more to it too that I remember and am grateful for getting out of and away from when I did. I'll be posting a lot about it I think too. My ex husband and his 'lovely' mother took and kept our oldest son from me when I was so naive and vulnerable it wasn't/isn't fun to even think about. I'm so glad I got out of it when I did as you are too. I've been thru a lot of the same things as you have and would really like to share my story more with you. Hope you don't mind I request or add you. I'm fairly new to this site too, only about a week. Take care and have a good weekend.
daughter got out!!!!!!!
Glad you're laughing,
smiling and happy again.
Don't worry if stuff
comes back or you
get triggered at some
point. Healing is seldom
linear. It's more a zig-zag.
Even though it sounds
like you're doing well,
you still might consider
talking with a professional
about what happened, to
ensure that everything gets
processed and there's as
little residue from that
experience, as possible.
Good for you, all round.
Sending hugs and wishes
for good life and good times
for both you and your daughter.
