Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
her friend she is staying with is in a abusive relationship. He charged at my daughter, while her friend/boyfriend were arguing, and she got scared of her friends bf, and it re triggered a lot of what happened with my daughter and my exh. I was so worried for my daughter, and almost took off and drove over 100 miles to go be with my daughter, but I refrained and text ed my daughter through her emotions.
It was a horrible ordeal to have only my phone to have contact with my daughter. I wanted to go and throw that man out in the street and give him what for and tell him off. But I am here and they are there.
So I stayed where I am, and told my daughter she was strong and a survivor and that we go through tests in life, and God never gives us anything we can not handle.
I told her to encourage her friend to leave her abuser, and to call a crisis counselor, and even if her friend didn't call that she should call for herself because she is a victim to her friends bf abuse also. My daughter's boyfriend was there with her, but he is used to the environment. So he wasn't much help.
I hope I made the right decision to stay here, I worry about her when she gets triggers, cuz she self harms, and then goes to drinking and drugs. I worry so much for her.
So sending prayers to my daughter, and her lil household. For safety and for her friend to get out of that horrible relationship.

Rest assured you did well, that your daughter knows you are there for her, and that your love for her came through. I'm sure it will help to make her strong.

Yesterday I end up having some major PTSD it came out of nowhere, It hit me like a brick, I was laying in my bed just plain frozen, and couldn't move, until I made myself blink and I started taking really deep breaths, and counting, and then I start praying.
It's wierd how out of the blue, over 7 yrs have gone by and you can totally go right back to a day like you are in it.
I hate those times.
