Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
No matter how much my ex husband harasses me he cannot be stopped. Even with a protection order! I have one for a reason, because he's violent and almost killed me on many occasions. His lawyer is the mayor of my town and his father has very strong ties in the community so of course he thinks he can get away with whatever..and he does! I had to move and go through intense therapy over all of this. We've been divorced for 2 years but he can't let go. I have to keep my doors locked during the day, i'm tired of living this way.

So glad to hear that you got away from him..But sorry to hear how he is still trying to ruin your life..
They do love to hang onto their control....And abusers are well known to stalk their victims after they break free...for that very reason...
Are there no police in your new area who you could confide in and seek further protection from?..Not everyone can be bought through ties? Also mayors are not above the law..
Keep staying safe...and I hope you can find new places and people to turn to for support...You shouldn't have to go through this all alone@
