Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Dogs don't actually "get" humans yelling at them to be quiet. (Wolves don't do that to their pups. They will pick them up and shake them over food aggression, but not over submissive behavior.)
I mentioned in the other post about an older dog. They're wonderful, done with chewing, you'll know if they're a barker, etc.
All she had done was try to take food that one of this horrible man's innocent children had offered to her in the palm of their hand. A pretty understandable thing for a dog to do.
If I had a pet dog and anyone yelled at them, they would be asked to regulate their behaviour, or else leave my home and not be allowed near my pet again.
Ellyn, I don't know what to advise right now, but I'm sorry you and your pets are going through this. It's not right. I hope someone here can help you.
