I called a local lawyer and I now have an appointment next week for her to look over the prenup. I'm keeping my fingers crossed there can be at least a crack or two I can wiggle through and not leave with so little.

Not sure what the laws are in your state, but it might be worth asking if abuse is a deal breaker when it comes to a prenup. Wishing you the best & that the attorney finds a crack big enough for you to walk thru carrying lots of $. ;-)

That's the first thing I plan on asking about. I'm also hoping I won't have to deal with the 1 year separation required by my state.

Good for you. Babysteps will get you there. My divorce took several years, but at least I didn't have to live with him during that time. You can do it, whatever it takes!
