WEST HARTFORD Three times in 48 hours, a West Hartford man was arrested on domestic violence charges.
After the first two arrests, Jeffrey Pavano, 35, of 122 Overbrook Road, posted bail of $5,000, then $10,000.
Thirty-three minutes after posting bail a second time, police said, Jeffrey Pavano was back at 122 Overbrook Road. Police took him into custody at set bail at $500,000.
During his arraignment today in Superior Court in Hartford, Pavano's attorney complained that $500,000 bail was unobtainable for his client, a truck driver. Pavano is the only breadwinner in the family, and he and his wife have three children, his lawyer said.
But the judge set bail at $185,000, saying he was troubled by the repeated violation of orders.
After his first arrest, at 8:37 p.m. Saturday, Pavano was charged with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a minor. Police said Pavano pushed the victim around in front of a child. When he posted bail, police set conditions for Pavano's release. Among them was that he not return to 122 Overbrook.
The victim told police she was petrified of Pavano, Lt. Stephen Estes said.
At noon Monday, police said, Pavano was arrested on a charge of violating conditions of release for repeatedly phoning the victim. He was taken into custody and posted $10,000 bail.
Police were called back to 122 Overbrook Road at 5:36 p.m. Monday, 33 minutes after Pavano signed the bail papers at police headquarters. Police said Pavano was there. They charged him with stalking, breach of peace and violating the conditions of release.
Pavano is set to return to court on July 21.

Sounds like this individual doesn't understand the word NO for an answer....I pray that he doesn't take the life of his victim....this just shows how poorly our system is...more needs to be done to save innocent lives!!!
