Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
im not a religious person , i tend to beleive in the universe more than anything but i beleive that things are sent to you for a reason , you come across sites online for a reason and i beleive this is one of them
since joining this site i have had my eyes opened.....and i honestly thank god.......
you are all good good people and youre help is just amazing.
i feel i have been alone in this for so long and now i dont feel alone anymore.....
i know a lot of you are in the US and i am in the Uk but you are all my friends.....thank you so much......this site has helped me more than anything else ive ever come across and even though its hard and making me do a lot of soul searching......its for my own good.......
i can honeslty see me leaving for good this time........

I really feel the same - if it weren't for DS I'd be feeling like I didn't have quite so much of a reason to get up in the morning. I am a UK lady as well, and I know what you mean about having friends in the US and elsewhere too - the distance in miles just doesn't matter when you feel like you are all in something together! This site transcends all sorts of geographical and other barriers.
