I could just use a bit of support or a virtual hug. Fighting against my ex in court is so overwhelming. He s so manipulative, and it seems like he stops at nothing. I know I have to keep going but it's exhausting and scary.

It makes me sad when people take the time to write and then there aren't enough replies. I don't know your background, and I probably can't understand, but I hope you found comfort enough to make it through your day. I can relate to the exhausting part. No matter the issue, it is emotionally and physically draining to have to "do" anything with that person. I haven't found a remedy so I have no advice to share, but I hope you are ok.

A number of people sent me hugs and private messages (which I saw and was very grateful for!) so I wasn't alone. Thank you for worrying about me though, ludofalkor!

The messages really do help. I don't know why I am feeling so overwhelmed and afraid when previously I have felt so strong, but it has been hard. I guess he just knows how to scare me, is all. I have to do this. I have to tell the court everything and face him. And I can. Even if it makes him angry.

Do you have one of those abusers though, where they seem like a multi-headed hydra? Where like if you handle one awful thing they do, they get angry and come back with five other, worse things? Then you get strong and handle those abuses, and they get angry, and ten more, even worse things happen? That's my ex. It's exhausting. I don't know how he has the time to even stalk me this way and find out all my weak points, it's frightening. There's no other option but to keep fighting though, is there. I have kids to protect. I am worthy of protecting. He's not going to win.

Great stuff tulip, that resolve. Yes, you will win, you will protect your kids, and life will get better. In some ways, you can take some comfort from the fact he is acting like a multi-headed hydra. It means that he, too, senses that you are strong, that you are resolved, and that you will win. It's hard now, extremely hard. But your kids are so very lucky to have someone so strong on their side.

Keep on keeping on, and don't forget to take care of you.
