Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

So I was talking to my friend the other day about how my boyfriend gets angry if I don't answer my cell phone (because I honestly didn't hear it, NOT because I'm with another man!) and how he would check my call display and got into my e-mail accounts etc. It made me think how much I hate technology sometimes! It's like he was constantly trying to "find" something that wasn't there. How did these abusers ever manage to cope before the days of cell phones, call display and computers?!? lol

So true, I had to either not be on certain sites for a long time, or hide my history somehow. He too would check my phone, looking for something until they find it. It's a helpful reminder to all who are still in these relationships to always watch and keep your guard up, not like we all haven't learned how to do that kind of thing already!

And it's so funny how he would check my call display and he would see an "unusual" phone numeber and question me on it. I'd be like, hello, do telemarketers not call people? Plus I had a roomate at the time! I still feel paraniod sometimes though, making sure I delete my history. Not that I have something to hide, but anything to avoid an arguement.

You know how they did it. My first sons father wouldnt let me leave the house at all. That is how. He would take the car keys or go somewhere with the car and leave me home without one. I was not allowed to even look in the direction of another guy and I had to be in his sight at all times. That is how they did it. At least now we get to go somewhere I guess even though we are still under a watchful eye in one way or another.

I know what you mean about having to "hide" just to in TRUTH AVOID an argument. And NY, I know the feeling of having to walk around in public with blinders on because I couldn't even look out the car window. What jerks.

Wow, that's what I was afraid to hear. (not being able to ever leave the house) That must've been so awlful.

It was awful especially since it was a horrible filthy house and his mother lived there and she hated me! So all I could do was sit upstairs in the room and do nothing. Thank goodness I realised it soon enough and I left him and never looked back. He didnt know where I lived or my number I could cut all ties. I have a son with him but social services have attempted to contact him and he has not responed so thank goodness that time I could escape. Now it is harder and the abuse went on longer.
