Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
you say that you work. is it full time? more than likely, you would be able to at least survive, support yourself.
I don't know how financially stable you guys are, or if you own your own home, but remember, you get half of whatever you guys have!!
60 is not that old! I have a friend who is 64. her abusive husband passed away when she was in her late 59s, and she has a beautiful life-a wonderful man (and well off, to boot!)..she lives in a tiny apartment, that she has decorated really nicely, and says that she feels as if you life is just starting, not ending..
You're being abused, every which way.
Your country has good services. Visit
your local women's centre. The have
services to support you.
Please take steps to find a life worth living.
It's out there waiting for you. Please don't
stay under the roof of rape and abuse.
Any sexual activity you don't consent to is sexual assault/rape. It's also sexual abuse. He has no right to treat you or your body that way.
who will you be disappointing?
think really deeply about that statement. seeing as you are in your 60s..your children are all grown up adults, who can take it.
your abuser? are you worried about disappointing him??
(hope not!!).
your friends? other relatives? do you owe them your life and your happiness?
should you suffer to keep all of these people happy?
that would be a pretty sad thing.
put yourself first for once, and watch your life blossom!
Who will you be disappointing that is more important than you? Because you will be disappointing you by staying.
And honestly, anyone who is disappointed with you for leaving an abuser is either very ignorant or simply doesn't have your best interests at heart.
I'm going to start a new thread about abusers and sex because the topic is such an uncertain thing for so many women.
will i made her leave, it was my house. if she would not leave i had a plan to go to a shelter.
she mad a lot more than me . but what is funny is she never had any money. when she left i had no cable i went to walmart and bought me a cell phone. i turned off the pilot light on the furnance. turned as many light off as i could.
even if you have to work at mcdonalds do it. it is so much better than in hell.
when she left i realized that i had more money that my bills were way lower than what they was.
you can alway call the domestic violence line and they can tell you more. you can call alot of places they will help. if you live in the usa i can give you the numbers. hell, i even had someone pay my electric bill just until i got on my feet. i had to lose my pride. if you are living with someone that is abusing you i bet you have know pride anyway. i know i did not have any pride left. take care hun i think i am starting to get it back and it feels good to like myself again. i thought i would never find anybody else either, but you know i did find someone ME.:)i like myself a lot better than i like her.
