I agree with you and Peck, intention is everything....I recently realized that my husband was emotionally abusing me on purpose. The first thing that came to mind, was evil. How evil.

The big one for me though, was the next lesson, when I realized that not everyone has empathy. I always act as if people do and then I can't figure out how a person could be so...whatever.

I still act as if everyone has empathy, but when people are abusive, I don't wonder why anymore.

I think defining it as "evil" is too black and white. But I'll settle for "massive blob of negative energy". Obviously, abusing your loved ones is not a positive behavior, and not something that a positive person would ever do.

I would accept evil. I would also say that my ex worships and nurtures chaos. I choose peace and freedom.

I have long called my abuser, and everyone else's abuser for that matter, evil. What they do to the human psyche is nothing short of evil.....and the only way to deal with it is to get away.

Yes, it is evil. Sucking the life,killing your spirit, and the aftermath. My ex is a church man which makes it so bad. He will speak God's word and people think he is all that. My family and I see him as a hypocrite. Yes, Tamehau it is hard to forgive them.
