Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Thank you for sharing such an inspirational experience!
Keep up the great work on you!
In my experience, it comes and goes in waves, but acceptance means realizing it was what it was and that nothing is ever going to change it. The past is gone for good (hooray)!! It means we have the freedom to create a life from here on out that is in accordance with who we are, what we value and where we want to be.
Personally, I was so glad to be done with how indignant (great word!!) I felt most of the time when I was with him. I am a person that loves to promote love, compassion and equality... These are the emotions that drive me, and as I learn to set healthier and healthier boundaries, it is much easier to feel safe expressing them!
Love that light on you, LT!!! You go girl! :)
But with some relationships I am way past denial at least. So am on the 'far' side of indignance :)
Glad to hear you feel you are making it through the stages... thinking of you xx
And, once again, I cannot thank you all enough for your support, kindness, insightfulness, intelligence, experience but most of all your willingness to share with others going down the road less traveled.
Peace,
LT
