Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Remembering the Columbine Massacre,
12 years ago today in Colorado.
Thirteen were killed, dozens injured.
It was the beginning of the end of students and parents
feeling like school was a safe, idyllic place for learning.
Hoping those who survived have recovered
and sending condolences to the families of
the 12 students and one teacher killed in
the tragedy.

There were a few women in the store, and we all huddled around the radio, listening.
for Columbine, I was living with my husband already, but not married, and I remember thinking 'oh god. suppose I have kids and something like that happens to them?'
maybe that's why I homeschool!
and in brazil just last week, some guy went into a school, shot the feet of about 12 little girls, lined them up against a wall, and then killed them.
so much sickness and unhappiness in this world.
it frightens me sometimes.
