Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

If you don't have a shelter near by, you may need to go to the next county. You can ask your dr or local hospital for a referral to other organizations set up in your area to help abused women. Check with the United Way. You need to document everything. Just don't let him know you're doing it.
He is very dangerous, so please be very careful. And please keep us posted.

was hiding who he
really is. He was
hiding that he's
an abuser
because no one
would choose to
make a life with
an abuser.
He hid it long enough
to CAPTURE you.
Now he wants
you to believe
that you're his
a prisoner. But
you don't have
to be.
You can change this.
If you don't leave,
the following
consequences
are likely:
He will injure you again.
He will injure you
more severely
the next time.
There WILL
be a next time.
You children will
grow up witnessing
abuse.
Even if he never
actually touches
them, they are
learning life lessons
from what they witness.
Even if he never
abuses them
verbally, he's
already abusing
them emotionally.
Children who witness abuse
(even if they're not the target),
grow up damaged and
lead damaged lives
for the rest of
they're lifespan.
Children who grow
up damaged by abuse
will very likely
perpetuate
emotional or
physical abuse
when they
become parents.
Whatever you do,
don't try to make him
understand that he's
an abuser and
shouldn't be.
Doing this is
usually
EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
Do not let him
know what you're
thinking or deciding.
Know that he is
already dangerous
and that when he
learns you may be
escaping from his
control, the likelihood
of his becoming even
more dangerous is
very high.

Do NOT share
ANYTHING important
with him. He has
already broken
his marriage vows.
He has already
betrayed you
in dozens of
ways.
Sadly, he will
always be your
childrens' father.
You can't change
this now. But it's
critical that they
at least not
grow up under
the roof of abuse.
Please be careful.

There is a book that I've just read. Oh, how I wish I had read this 20 years ago. It would have helped me clearly see what was happening. Please go get it. Hide it from him, but read it. I would have seen what was going on and how to deal with it, stop it, and heal. It is entitled, " Why does he do that?" about verbal and emotional abuse. Lundy Bancroft
