Hello friends...!
It's been about a month since my last check in. I want to say it's official. I am divorced....
This has been the most painful, scariest, confusing, doubtful, uneasy, uncertain time of my life. But I stayed focused and kept pressing on forward. It was by no means Easy.
He is Still living here since we became officially divorced last Tuesday. He found a place and will be moving in 2 weeks. We have been in- house separated since October 2013 with him living in the basement.
When I began to realize that He is verbally mentally and emotionally abusive and passive aggressive I started standing up for myself. And that made him mad. His behavior escalated. I started this process 4 years ago. The last year since I served him with papers things got worse. He would corner me in a room, force his way into a room if I tried to hide in there. He would get up in my face and was very intimidating and would bully me. I became scared of him for myself and my girls.
He was true to form and financially trying to cheat my girls out of his responsibilities. At the very end I did give in to some of his financial demands because I was just worn out. Although I did fight for the big financial things. I am satisfied with the settlement overall.
I feel free. Like I can breathe easier. Although he's still here I avoid him as much as possible. We will have contact for many years as our girls are only 9 & 3. But I am single... Working full time working side jobs running the house which I am in the process of owning by myself !! Yay me..! I'm being the absolute best mom I can be..! I'm happier and have more patience and feel peace inside and I am passing that on to my girls. They are happier too. We laugh and joke around now and I play music again and we sing and dance around the house. I take every opportunity I can to teach them to become strong independent girls. I tell them often how smart and beautiful they are and that they can do and become anything they want. Follow their dreams.!
I urge anyone who is in ANY kind of abusive relationship to get out. Behaviors will and do escalate. We only get one life... LIVE IT TO YOUR FULLEST AND BE HAPPY.
Thanks to everyone who has been here supporting me through my journey... This chapter is closing and I am starting on the next beautiful exciting chapter of my life with my little angels ...

I had gone to the grocery store. When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute. A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked. I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds. But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026. I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away. It was an ordinary middle age...

The friends I've made here are so special and I was never judged for wavering in my decision... I always got the validation I so desperately needed...and that helped me in realizing it's not me.. I'm not crazy.. It was his behaviors and manipulation and abuse.
I have done an almost 360 in my thinking and confidence and how I feel about myself. I'm also still in therapy since a year and a half but I'm feeling stronger than ever...!!
I hope I can pass on the support and wisdom I learned from here and help other people going through this. The feeling of freedom is indescribable...I feel whole again... I found ME ...!
