Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again.
I never ever would have made it this far without you all!

I realize its all lies. It's all about him. It's never been about me.
I wrote some crazy long rambling, ranting journals & all I've received is support.
I wanted to post it on here to say a big big thank you to everyone! All your stories & sharing, your postings & hugs have all helped me so much to realize what I already knew, but you all gave me the strength to get through this ordeal.
I've reached my goal. I will never accept abuse again but I am still dealing with the after effects. I still have nervousness, shaking, fear, tears hiding behind the surface but I am strong. I have questions that don't have an answer, but I have you all to help me deal with those swirling thoughts.
All of you, please, tell me, drill it even further into my brain, don't believe the lies!! The nice mask I saw, it's not reality!

"First assume everything my ex says in a lie. then you will be a lot closer to the truth, and you can figure out what is really going on." i truly got to the point that no matter what he said, mean, kind, whatever, I first assumed the opposite to be true, and you know what? I don't think he ever proved me wrong! LOL.
I don't deal with him too much now, but if I did, that's still where I would come from....
And it wasn't just my son's therapist, it was our court order co-parenting psychiatrist, and the GAL, who were, at first, completely sucked in by his lies. So, why should we feel bad, when these people who are educated, trained to recognize these kind of people can't do it? How could we expect ourselves to, back in the beginning?
Now you know better, and you are doing the right thing. Don't even give it a moment's thought, if he says anything, assume the opposite to be true, and try to figure out what he's trying to accomplish in his own behalf.
