Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I think you need to talk to a professional. Of course, it is fine to talk here, too. But if you are that depressed and anxious, you need the right kind of care. And like you say, you don't know how to process the things you are feeling. You can't "just" get past this. Nobody can. But you can get past it with professional care.
You don't have to put up with feeling so bad. Hugs.
Kris
Anyway, back to point (sorry I have a back habit of sidetracking) anxiety can cause you to sleep more, lock yourself away, depression, and sick feelings/getting sick.http://www.patient.co.uk/health/anxiety That link may explain it a little better.
Be kind to yourself, don't push yourself. We, unfortunately, do not come with a switch that we can just flip to make us happy :( It takes time, patients, and love to heal.
I wish you the best and warmest hugs

It's about childhood abuse mostly, but can be for anyone who has been in an abusive relationship. She puts some thoughts out there that are truly validating. And sometimes validation of our feelings can be quite healing, even in the absence of being understood by the people in our daily lives or in our families.
I hope you start to feel a little better. Hugs.
