Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Ok, so I had a mutual friend of my ex boyfriend (the emotionally abusive addict bf) ask me to be FB friends with one of her friends and I said I would, but that I was not dating and did not plan on it anytime soon. That I am still screwed up from what he did to me, and that I am in therapy now and just working on me, not to mention my problems with social znxiety, isolation and depression. Anyway, the man seems nice and we have good conversation, he is an older gentlemen, divorced with 2 younger girls, but as I said, I am not looking to date. He asked me to a movie last Friday via message and I literally had a panic attack. I tried to deflect his attention and mentioned that I had a single friend who is attractive and is looking to date, that she is intelligent, outgoing, etc...Thinking that he would check out her fb profile and it would attract his attention to her and we could just be online buddies, which I am ok with.
Didn't work, he was ok with going by himself and said perhaps another time.
Now after another week of conversation, he just asked about dinner sometime? That he hopes he is not asking too soon and did not scare me. :)
I just sent a big lengthy message of why I can't go and that if he would rather not be talk anymore I totally understand.
Again, I hate that it comes to this and while I am not having a panic attack, I do dread his reply. I feel guilty and not sure why. Perhaps because I hate conflict of any sort. :(

Please do not feel like a freak. That accomplishes nothing.
You are having such a hard time. Harder than you should. You won't even go out with friends. I'm wondering if you should take all your last few posts into the therapist and see if she thinks you would benefit from some kind of an anxiety pill. It almost seems like you may need a little extra help for a few months. It might actually help and you really need extra help with this, Joanie.

A friend asked to use him while I was in Alaska fishing with my hubby for 3 months. He did not know there was a problem with the new man my mother married. He gave Peppy to them and I never saw him again.
I did have a couple of horses after that, but it was never the same.
Please give your horse a carrot and apple for me.
