I don't know what else to do.

I am trying to get my son into a program for teenage males that will help him get the guidance and mentoring he needs. Since he is living with my ex and my son & I have a very strained relationship, I can't let it be known that I am doing this for him or else he won't want to go.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can make this happen without making it known that it is me?

Hi Jaylady, One thing that popped into my mind is can you have the leader or organizer of the group contact your son's guidance counselor at school (or the other way around?), and have the contact initiated through the school? Or talk to the organizer and explain that your son will be resistant if he knows you are behind it. so could he approach your son somehow without mentioning that he was contacted by you? Maybe he/she could send a mailer to your house? My two cents, good luck!

I talked to the program director. He stated that legally his father would have to sign him up for the program. But he agreed to send me a flyer so that I can find a fax machine to send it to him at school. Sigh. Hopefully my narcissistic ex will sign him up since he won't have to pay for it.

I can only hope and pray that everything will work out for the best. I feel like I am so stuck because it is a lot that I can't do.
