Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but no one can make another person understand, no matter how much we want them to. No matter what you do, say, don't do or don't say, it will not help her to understand.
She is telling you exactly who she is and she is NOT someone who will understand or listen. The (her) behavior you're describing is considered abuse.
Please continue to reach out to your therapists, counselors, hotlines, here. I would suggest you NOT reach out to your wife or your friend for the time being. They all seem very very toxic.
Please take good care of yourself & stay safe.
So you say that's what abusive behavior looks like, huh? I've been looking for a concrete example. This wasn't even the worst thing I could imagine her reacting, so that's not very heartening.
