Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

Last night I was in the store getting my family and my self some snacks, I guess I took too long, because when I returned to the vehicle. He got mad and he asked me "are you trying to act cute in there? why did you take so long?"
I told him, "I guess if that is what you think I am doing, then I must be acting cute in there, my goodness! what now! I think after all that I do for you, you would appreciate me instead of accusing me all the time."
so on and on it goes, it think most of you know the ending,
But he tried the "take me to my house now!"
I told him,"I'll take you to get your things and then I can take you home, that way it's a one way trip for you"
I really gave him the ball so he knew it was his decision and not mine for him to leave.
He didn't of course, we are still together, but I believe he sees I am not going to put up with any of his bs anymore.
I feel stronger in that I really don't feel like I "need" him anymore, and I can live without him if it goes in that direction.
I feel a bit more confident that if he leaves, or I have to make him leave, it will be ok. And I will make it with out him.
I still have my safety plan in store with one of my co workers, and I am storing money for an emergancy if I have to go in an instant.
It is a good thing that I see in my future. I am enjoying some of my freedom also.
I really don't know his intention of being with me? we are like room mates, we are not intimate, just holding hands, kissing, and keeping each other company. But that is the extent of it.
I don't know just letting you guys know how things are going. :)

It's so hard dealing w irrational men. Smart to keep your plans in place. He must sense your new grown confidence.

Dealing w/a violent abuser is always about who's in control and the abuser wants/has to be. Even if it feels like you're gaining the upper hand, he is only going to deal w/that for so long. If and when you try to leave is the most dangerous time, but that doesn't mean he isn't already dangerous.
IMHO, no matter how much we love an abuser, or how many good points they may seem to have, it's not worth losing our lives and making our child(ren) motherless.
Please, please, take good care of you and be very very careful.

don't "see" anything that
contradicts their agenda
of maintaining power
and control.
I hope for you, that at some
point, the course of your future
will no longer be dependent
on what he wants, what he
decides, what he chooses
to do. I hope that your future
will be entirely based on
what YOU want, what YOU
decide and what YOU
choose to do.
