Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Do you mean what God has done in my life?!
Share what you're
moved to share.
I wrote a book about an abusive engagement I was in and it was so cathartic to publish and get out there as a final revenge. I just finished another book about my last emotionally abusive relationship and am looking forwards to publishing that.
Journaling is the most direct and easiest way to get your story out, and i encourage you to do so.
and am so very sorry
for what you went
through with that
awful abuser and
his abusive mother.
Glad to know you
eventually escaped
and live a happier
life now.
On the personal side,
I wrote a book that has,
to this date, not been
published. But I found
that the act of writing it
was so healing that I
stopped caring if it ever
got published or not.
I also participate in
support groups, some
"on the ground" and
some, like this one,
on line.
Finally, I've journaled
virtually every day, since
I was a young woman,
which is a long time
ago, now. My journals
are spiral notebooks,
but journaling on line
is fine, too.
Stories can be told
in poetry, as well.
Share what you want,
where you want, as
long as you feel
comfortable and
"safe" with your
words being
out there.
Sending you hugs
and prayers for
all good things
in your life,
going forward.
So it might help others.
I am just now getting to where I don't care if people know my story because, my story can help others.
I have journal a lot, to understand how I felt, and why!
I just feel that putting it out, is part of how God is going to heal me.
And to help someone.
I had to retrain myself, as I didn't have money to seek help.
I was a total mess. Feared people, had to slowly learn how to overcome that one. I still study people to see if I can trust them.
But, God is the reason I am still alive.
Thank you all for your caring, and advice.
I am on my way finally to recovery through sharing.
