Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
But seriously. . . . .
end the relationship.
You did ask for the
best way to deal with
this, right?
Okay, if that's not you're
real question, but if you're
asking how to handle this
until you can manage to
get out yourself out and
away, then the best way
to hand it is to not open
any conversation with
him that you know will
set him off. ----- Oh. Is
that too wimpy? Well, yes.
That is a wimpy solution.
Thing is that no one can
change an abuser, only
how much time we
spend with them.
There is nothing you can
say to him in regards to
that kind of conversation,
that would enable you to not
be attacked for introducing
topics that set him off. You
can not make him change how
he "engages" with you, when
you introduce topics that he
finds annoying. (You can
only change yourself.)
Please be careful, in your
relationship.
Take good care of yourself.
i suppose im still in shock at what hes prepared to do.
so you both agree that it is infact a form of abuse , what hes doing? xx
But if that isn't what you meant, if you were referring to family problems, again you can bypass him and call a counselor.
act as if he isn't even there, as if you are alone and have to directly take care of the problems yourself. If he doesn't like it, too bad. He isn't willing to talk about things reasonably so it's up to you to address the problem(s).
As far as attempting to talk to him about his behavior is concerned, it's like whistling in the wind. He won't hear anything you say and will only resent you comfronting him. it will be a huge waste of your time and energy.
