I think in a way that is at the heart of their big problem, and is one of the reasons we will never be good enough for them - and nor will anyone else. They want a fantasy, the perfect woman, whatever that may be to the individual man. But no matter how hard we tried, we were never perfect, and never would be.

Then a new one comes along, and she seems perfect. For a while, but then the gloss will go off that too, because she won't be perfect, no matter how much he tries to mould her to make her perfect.

And so on.

Well I wanted a smaller waistline, and perky breasts. I also wanted my abuser to act like a normal person.......huh goes to show we dont always get what we want.

Oh yes, they live in fantasy-land! The norm is boring as hell for them...one big yawn.

The very idea of a man finding it attractive two have two women competing over him makes me want to vomit.

It reminds me of every bbq we attended that had, in attendance the woman he had an affair with. To even just see her hurt my stomache. On valentine's Day of 07, he told me that he was leaving and that I could never be her. Stop trying. Four months later I took him back.

It only hurts us to let them do this to us.

Geez Boomer I so know that feeling. He told me when I was 7 months pregnant that she ("just a friend" he claimed, though I had proof to the contrary) was his "No 1 priority right now". Did I kick his sorry butt to the kerb? Nooooooo. He told me he had "moved on, isn't it about time you did the same?", while at the same time being stupidly jealous if I went out without him - I'd get text messages saying "I don't believe you could still be at lunch with a friend. Hope you're enjoying the fuck" etc etc etc. And I just kept taking it.

Ah well, she's got him now. And you know what? Given the lies she told me as well? She's more than welcome to him.

My abuser would gawk at every walking female when we were out. He made it very obvious as well, which at times was quite embarassing. Finally I stopped walking with him and usually walked steps ahead of him. It got to the point where you could not tell we were even together. It was so disgusting. I look at it now and I so wonder why I put up with him for so many years. I could tell you some stories about cheating, the lies, the things he said to me about my looks and just about me all the way around. And the kicker is that he was no prize himself.
