Well, I need to share this hurt that came from his statement
I need sex. Only you will do.
I haven't seen him in 2 months. Emotionally we started getting hooked again a few weeks ago. This comment came after his few days stay in a mental hospital after a one day relapse (he is a heroin addict and had nearly 3 years clean and sober).
I asked him to LEAVE ME ALONE.
It feels SOO good to be OK with this FINALLY. I am sick of getting sucked back in with his accusations and SCAMS (last time he said he was moving and accused me of hating him). I don't hate him. I want my life back.
Anyway I told him I'm not a sex object and he can't lie to me and there's no trust and then demand sex. He said "my mistake" and basically hung up, then later tried to act like nothing. This statement just felt so icky and unlike him as far as how he treated me, it's like OUCH.

you know, the day before he relapsed he found out in getting checked out for pneumonia he has some lesions on his lung that could be cancer. Now this is tough for me, at this point before he relapsed I was "warming" up to him, and leaving him message that I wanted to bring him juice (nothing like a cancer scare to lead me back after 2 months absense) anyway not knowing he relapsed. He probably thought I was this self sacrifising people pleaser thing I tend to be when he made that comment. I need support to move past that me that let him get away with how he treated me. Thanks for comment.

Truthfully honey, that comment is exactly like him. Just because he phrased it better in the past doesn't mean that wasn't exactly what he meant. I know you don't hate him, but where there is no trust there is no truth and therefore no relationship. I am sincerely sorry for your pain, but every step you take away from him will bring you one step closer to your true self.

Well, I met him clean and sober, I haven't seen him in two months and his relapse was for one day (as far as I knew when I told him to leave me alone). Thank you, it has been quite draining regardless. Just wary of boyfriends with mental health issues, THAT has been draining.

Yes my mother always warned me, don't go out with anyone with mental health problems or has had issues in his past or childhood, its too hard work. Turns out I ended up being the one with mental health problems, not my boyfriend!
I knew someone who went out with a heroin addict and I think they say 'once a heroin addict always a heroin addict' because he kept slipping up.
