Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I have a wine gum habit that needs some kicking.
but I think I may keep it around for another year. I need it.
I don't really do resolutions.
I like this:
"Im focusing on filling the category of gratifying."
this year, I plan on moving my body a bit more. going out more. taking my kids to more places (not expensive places, just 'places' a walk in the park, going to a friends's house). I plan on listening more. breathing more. taking more hot bubble baths. I plan on wearing more jewelery.I plan on thinking more good thoughts.
Rachel I love this. And it is all very doable not something that requires the type of commitment that would be dreaded.
An example, like in my case I can't seen to commit to getting a new gym membership and then getting motivated to get in top shape like I was a few years back. first I can't afford it and second I'm not motivated to do something that doesn't bring me pleasure or something that doesn't keep my interest. So maybe more hikes and bike rides and walks are in order.
Here's to doing more pleasurable things, thinking pleasurable thoughts, being around pleasant people, and enjoying all of the little wonderful things in each day of this new year. And here's to accepting with peace where we have been and where we are now and looking forward to the future.
