Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
It has been 18 months since i left my abusive ex fiance. I am in a healthy relationship now with a wonderful guy. But my ex keeps butting into our lives. At first it was mostly through txt messages and phone calls but I had his number blocked from my phone.
A few months after my boyfriend and I got together my ex (who was completely against social networking sites) makes a facebook and tries to add both of us. of course we both denied the requests and I blocked him.
Well a couple nights ago he sends my boyfriend a message on facebook with just a random comment about someone on my boyfriends list of inspirational people. Something along the lines of "that guys is really cool, i smoked hookah with his niece once". He knew my boyfriend wasn't going to talk with him. He did it because he knew it would get back to me and it would upset me. My boyfriend just blocked him. But he did tell me about what happened.
I got as far as unblocking him and prepared to write him a nasty message telling him to stay the hell away from my loved ones when I realized that this is exactly what he wants. He wants a reaction out of me! And I am not going to give him the satisfaction.
I'm not really sure how to handle this. I am still trying to recover from the abuse he subjected me to and I feel like every time he butts into my life I am right back where I started. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Don't get me wrong...I'm glad he is gone. I want him as far away as possible. But he can call, txt, and message all he wants from there with no consequences.
Once he knows he can engage you, he will ramp up his abuse. Just keep him blocked and don't respond.
I also see that you mentioned he moved away...Hmmm well with that being said another thing you can do is change your number and email address or anything else he knows about. Do not respond to him at all and cross your fingers that he latches onto someone else soon. Eventually he will get bored when he doesn't get a response from you or your bf.
