Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

happened in your life.
Have you ever been in
any kind of therapy? If
not, would you consider
talking to a qualified
counselor? Doing that
has helped many of us
and it's usually a good
place to start.
Secondly, if he keeps
harassing you, you need
to do one of two things
or both. The first is to
talk to the people at
your nearest women's
center. They will be
able to help you
contact the police
and make a report.
He has already caused
you physically harm
and you have a child
together. You don't
have to do anything
alone. Further, you
and your baby need
additional help.
If he won't leave you
alone, and both of know
he's not going to do that
voluntarily, then the law
will see that he does.
That's what it's there
for.
Beyond that, you
need help to heal.
Please be careful
and stay safe.
Sending hugs and
wishes for safety
and better days
ahead.
My ex had threatened to get our son taken from both of us if I try to involve police cause he knows I smoke mj and he does as well so I'm more scared of getting him taken than dealing with that. Note I smoke it as medication and I work really hard and have a job I'm not just a lazy stoner
experience with
counseling has
been mostly
negative. But, in
fact, there ARE
not only competent,
but even really good
counselors. I hope
you won't give up
on trying to find one.
Why don't you ask
the counselor who
moved away for a
referral in you area?
Predators will tell you
anything to attempt to
keep you under their
control. There are many
states now where medical
marijuana is legal and even
a few where recreational
isn't prosecuted any more.
The women's center where
you are can help sort out
what your circumstances
may be. And frankly, it's
hard to imagine a state
taking custody away from
an otherwise qualified mother
who uses marijuana for
medical reasons.
Please don't give up
on reaching out for
on-the-ground support.
tried so hard to find
a reasonable therapist
without success.
Practices do have changes
in their staff line-up. I suggest
you not give up till you find
someone with whom you
can work.
