Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Hello all:
I hope you all remember me, I've been around a few months. you're not gonna believe it tho. I got my life back. My wife and I have decided to split. It has been a long time coming. And 16 years of physical, emotional, and mental abuse for me.
She came to me Monday with a list of demands for ME to change. I was like yeah right. How bout you stop abusing me to start with? So I said why dont we just split and we can both be happy. She said yes.
It was mean at first but has gotten better. I get to stay in our house. It is a rental. We have no property or assets. She is going to look at a house for rent today that is like 35-40 minutes away closer to her work
I feel like I have my life back. I was so happy yesterday I nearly did a dance. Yesterday was our anniversary, how ironic. 14 years of marraige. We have already discussed splitting furniture etc. I will covver her medical. It is so far very amicable. I know that may not last, I'm not naive.
It can be done folks. I want to thank everyone from this board. This board made merealize that I wasnt alone in abuse and a lifetime of it is wrong. All the examples clicked with me. Special thanks to True, Ilene, Kris, Notmy and sorry if I missed anyone for making this happen.

Yes, we can all party at my house. On my deck and in the garden. Bring your friends, some wine and I will cook a big old bbq. No I am not leaving here. Sure there will be bumps in the road
I hope I can be of some inspiration to others in abusive relationships that want to leave. If my lonely, silly FORMERLY co-dependent ass can do it anybody can!
