Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I feel so empowered. I took the plunge and got a puppy, something my ex would have forbid in our house. My kids are in heaven. Our new addition is a 7 week old all white miniature havapoo. She is adorable.
My kids were so excited they wanted to tell their dad, who responded to me with "Oh..... I never thought you would get a dog" to which I responded "YUP! And she is amazing!".
I feel so good today! =)

A havapoo is half miniature havanese & half miniature poodle, she won't grow to be more then 6lbs to 8lbs.. She is hypoallergenic & doesn't shed so its a win win, lol. :)
Her name is Bella. I posted a pic in my pics of her. She is soooo cute. She doesn't walk or run, she hops like a bunny and looks like a cross between a marshmallow & a little teddy bear. ;)
Bella...it's a great name for a puppy. In fact, I named my last dog Bella....and it was before the Vampire movies came out ; )
I think it has been the number 1 dog name for the past several years.
Unfortunately, I had to leave my Bella with the ex. She had terrible, terrible separation anxiety and given that I had to move in with friends I simply couldn't bring her along and let her tear up the house when no one was home. Of course, the ex blames me for leaving the dog with him. I wish I had responded, "fine, I'll keep Bella and the farm, and you move out!" Although he never would have gone for that.
I miss my Bella!

I have thought that once I decide if I am going to stay in the area or not I may like a pet again.....
