Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Hi folks. I'm the beginning of my separation of my abusive husband. I honestly don't want to go back to him and have mapped out how to replace all the material things and important papers I have left behind, but I have one thing that I really miss: my pictures. I had a bag of pictures from my entire life up until I went totally digital a few years ago. Pictures of my deceased father, childhood pictures, and many family pictures and events. When I went to get back my things, I couldn't find the bag (he rearranged things in the house), and I had to leave quickly, so I left the bag behind.
How did you guys get your irreplaceable things? I feel so sad to lose all my pictures, especially since my memory has been getting so bad lately that it's hard to drudge up memories from anything before the start of my relationship with my husband. Can I just wait and get them in a court order? Or should I just count them as lost?

The only reason I'm hesitant is that 2 hours away and I'm not sure what he's done to the apartment since I went on Friday. He's unemployed and pretty pissed so he could have conceivably moved and hid stuff already. He already moved stuff around when I was gone for a few hours on Friday (before I returned with the police).
