Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

I particularly appreciate the recognition of the danger that the emotional manipulator poses - often more than the physical abuser. The physical abuser may go off their rocker and kill you - the EM will train you to kill yourself, and it doesn't just go away once they do.

I don't know if anyone here has used it, but I would issue a similar warning about Lisa E. Scott's narcissism site. Her behavioural facts are fine and helpful, but I heard tell on another board that the forum has apparently been so rigidly controlled by Lisa and co at times that it verged on emotional abuse.
Participants found themselves attacked for saying things that Lisa did not agree with. And these were vulnerable, confused people still in or just out of horrible narcissistic relationships. Not nice. Just FYI.
