Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
caught on the elevator camera,
I believe the images have
ALREADY
had a significant effect
on society.
Keep the pressure on.
Each one of us
must do what
we can to make
the voice of reason
the voice that
brings peace
and nonviolent,
loving intimacy.
Let's do what we can,
each of us.
I watched the You Tube video and it was horrendous! but I also can't stop looking at that poor woman's face during the press conference! She looks absolutely depressed and miserable. I actually was thinking hmm I hope she's not 'getting it worse' now that he lost his job. Who knows maybe she is one of the secret online screen names on here getting support.
Just my two cents. Thanks for post I've been following it some too.
As for his wife standing by him, I wonder how much of that has to do with what she fears would happen to her if she DIDN'T, rather than how much money he does or doesn't have coming in?
I stayed with my husband both when we had almost nothing, and when things got better financially. Neither the absence nor presence of money made any difference to the fear of what he might do if I left... or stayed.
He is a sad, pathetic pile of excrement. End of story.
news features that
Rice had done some
kind of video against,
(get this). . . . bullying.
My guess is he grew
up in chaos and violence
and probably believes
that violence is "normal."
(I mention this as an
explanation. . . .
certainly NOT as
an excuse.)
I also heard that he
told the police that
she was unconscious
because she was
passed out drunk.
I'd like to add to what
shihonage said that
his pile is stinky
and steaming.
Let's all work to make
violence UNACCEPTABLE.
I'm glad you all have been following this story. Hard not to eh? I am happy that this story has brought to the center the issue of domestic violence. By suspending him they show it wont be tolerated although the initial response seems to be a cover up. Other people are gonna lose jobs over this.
He is definitely a thug and gutless. He allegedly spat on her also. What the heck? Pretty low. Also his reaction after he hit her. he stood over her like an animal. Leads me to believe this wasnt the first time.
I can say that as a man, my wife has come at me JUST like that before. I put up my arms to protect myself and then in a minute left the house. She cooled down. thats what REAL men do.
I think that any future NFL player who does this will be dealt with severly as he should be. That may be the best takeaway from this story.
