Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
You know, abusers tend to escalate their abuse when they know you are leaving--so you might be in greater danger around your husband right now.
Could you find somewhere else to stay as you work through the divorce (or just to gain some clarity)?
Sometimes, with a verbally abusive partner, it's best to have the lawyers do all the communicating during the divorce...or to at least try to keep the communication to a minimum.
It's not your fault if he moves back to California. He wouldn't have to at all.
Plus, you didn't ask to be in a relationship with a verbally abusive man--it's not your fault that he put that impossible strain onto your relationship. Of course, he will never see this side of it.
Could you consider seeing a counselor? You sound really down right now, like you really need to be cultivating strength and happiness in yourself right now.
I'm sorry what you're going through. It isn't your fault.
it will be his choice if he moves away like he chooses how he behaves so he has to accept the consequences of his actions. trouble is these people never accept any responsibility, they always blame the other person
I dont have anywhere else to go or would be off like a shot
It's NOT your fault if you
boys don't have both parents.
It's the ABUSER'S fault.
Get yourself to a life
WITHOUT ABUSE.
Hugs and healing thoughts.
Take good care.
My ex was like that with sex as well and it's horrible. Let him have his tantrums and his threats - get out and get safe. He will do what he does, he will make his own choices, none of which is your fault.
He chose to be abusive. Now it's time for you to choose to live free of his abuse.
