Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.

I hope I can inspire some of the people on this board who are feeling in such an emotional upset. I just read my entire journal's from when I first started this journey, February 24, 2013. Things in my life have changed so much for the better. Yes I still MISS HIM but most days are filled with feeling ok, friends, family, new puppy and I guess finding out about me.

After spending the last 5 years with a psychopath I am Ok, on my own and feeling so grateful today.

The road has not been easy nor will it be but we can do this.

I was a worse MESS when I started this journey.

Thank you too for being here, Andrea...you are a role model with your new life! You are living proof that just because an abuser found their way into your life, it doesn't mean you can't show them the door and rid yourself of their poison bit by bit, once and for all! Brilliant stuff.

Thanks Bunny, I still struggle with my feelings with him every day. Sometimes I break NC with him. I am doing it and so is everyone here. Things are not wonderful and perfect but at least I can say I am alive and doing OK. thank you for the kind thoughts. I am blessed that I live across the country from him and he has no money to get to me. New ventures are getting there. I have a job and a focus now.
