Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
She is definitely being disrespectful and abusive. I would tell her exactly what you expect...treated respectfully...not yelled at AT ALL (not just in public). In a normal relationship, individuals should be able to talk about issues and come to a resolution. In an abusive one, no way.
It's about her needing to feel
superior. She can't tolerate
that anyone else can do
something she hasn't
and certainly not the
target she's in the
habit of abusing.
She may have said
that she wanted you
to "help" her with her
workouts, but
she didn't mean it. . .
as her actions
clearly demonstrate.
It's just a way to start a fight and bring your spirits down, because, should you feel that you are doing something right, then...heaven forbid, you gain strength and start feeling good about yourself. Noooooo, that is not allowed!!!
I'm sorry. Just remember, it is not you, you are a good person, the way she treats you is in no way a reflection of you, but of her.
