Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I need help!! :(
My husband wants me to take a class next semester.
He thinks that me running our household, worrying about him, and
babysitting my niece are not enough. How do I express that I don't want to take this class with out him thinking I'm a total lush? I really resent having to do something that I don't want to do. He now says that I don't have to take a class.....but I know that he will think ill of me all semester if I don't. What should I do?

If you don't want to take a particular class or any class at all, say:
It's a nice thought. But it won't be happening.
You're an adult. You're entitled to self-determination. Use it.
