Even if he reads it, he won't understand it or care very much I would think, since anyone who can say something like that has no interest in understanding or compassion. But of course, if he gets his way, you guys could save a heap of money on rape trials. If a woman "cries rape", just wait a little while. If she gets pregnant, let the guy go with a handshake and a knowing look about "those kinds of women"; if not, lock him up and throw away the key!
And yes, I AM a little fired up by it.

It's time to pay attention and cast our votes. Votes not based on our political party, but votes based on the candidates' HISTORY of voting for or against women's rights!
It is scary to see where these men in power want to take women. I can remember when birth control was not a covered service under many major insurance plans. I can remember when abortion was illegal for ANY reason. I can remember the deaths, injuries, and loss of fertility caused by dirty, back-alley "care".
Pay attention and remember to VOTE!
The Romney-Ryan Campaign has ask him to step out of the arena!

Someone like that politician will never understand. Neither will our abusers. Let's choose wiser people to be in our lives and to run our planet.

He was apologizing, and clearly knew that what he said was stupid...backtracking. I don't know that he's a really bad guy, but he just, like so many politicians, just thinks that he can say anything. And that if he says it people will accept it because he said it.
He was defending his decision to stay in the Senate race, even though all the Republican power brokers are asking him to step down.
We have to really think, and consider the character of the people for whom we vote. Too often a vote is based on what a politician promises that will benefit us individually. But if real change is ever going to occur, we need to put the bigger picture out front, and vote for those who want to help evolve the human race to a higher level.
