I didn't really notice any mind control theme... especially since Edward cannot read her mind... but I was disturbed by the "passionate honeymoon" resulting in Bella having serious injuries and a destroyed bed. That part really disgusts me. What other parts did you find triggering exactly? I'm curious.

the parts where he would always show up unannounced without any noise and stuff he would say, like "i am no good for you," , especially when he started apologizing for how he hurt her, and she was totally giving him the props even though she was all bruised and when she is at there house and Jacob shows up and she covers her belly cuz its bruised, and she is all weak and frail. I guess it just reminded me of how weak and frail I was when I was in my abusive relationship.

I can see that... oh yeah, and I forgot about how he was stalking her... sneaking into her room watching her sleep... CREEPY!!!

ew that part freaked me out. and smelling her? yuck, an ex used to tell me that. and sniff me, it used to creep me out.
Its the classic honeymoon stage, and then the abuse, for this I see a lot of emotional abuse, it triggered a lot of that for me.
and some of it like when he saves her from the truck smashing her, "you were clear across the parking lot" he tells her, "no I was standing right next to you" he was telling her he was when he wasn't. crazy making, and she is going over and over in her mind if he was there or not.
Yeah this series has triggered a lot of memories for me. But I do like watching vampire movies. And werewolf movies too. :)
I still say she should of picked Jacob. But then I guess that would be a whole another plot. and the twilight series wouldn't be if she chose Jacob. lol
