Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Often it's when we finally feel safe
that our mind allows the awful stuff
to begin resurfacing.
It might help to write down what
you're remembering. I know this
might sound like something you
SHOULDN'T do.
But what the documenting of it does
is to get it OUT of inside of you and
allow you to EMPTY yourself of the
memories. It's not that they go away.
But often, by expelling the memories
onto digital file or paper, they've
traveled their path through, out
and AWAY from you, and you
have a chance to be FREE
of them.
Don't be upset that they're
coming up, now. But do
do something with them.
Set them down, and then
you have a chance to box
them up and truly put them
away, or even do ceremonial
funerals with them.
Hugs and healing thoughts.
And you let it bubble up, and allow yourself to be sad or angry or whatever, and it too will dissipate. There's always a deeper level of understanding and healing that we can achieve, and our core, our center, wants it to be healed all the way through. So,when you are ready, there you are.
It won't last, just let it be, let it heal, let it go. Big hugs to you...
