I put on my journal back in March that I was not proud of the fact that I was seperated from my husband. I was not proud that I feel like I failed and I let my kids down, let my God down, let my family and his down. THEN I reconnected with a high school friend over facebook. We were catching up on "life". We were past the "hi's" and "where ya working?" questions and got down to real life stuff. I told her about my verbal and emotional abuse that I endured for the last 23 years and how I am not proud to be annoucing the fact that I am now seperated. She challanged me bless her heart to reconsider that statement. I should be very proud that I am out. It just took her back that I wasn't proud of getting out of it. I thanked her for challenging me on that and opening my eyes to that. I AM VERY PROUD TO SAY THAT I AM OUT, I AM DOING VERY VERY VERY WELL AND I HAVE WONDERFUL FRIENDS TO CARRY ME. It is literally the best thing I have done besides giving my life to Christ 16 years ago. My faith in Jesus Christ has strengthen and He has made it very clear to me I am on the right path.
NO REGRETS AND PROUD.

PLEASE...IF YOU READ THIS FAR AND ARE IN AN ABUSIVE SITUATION DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT WAIT. SOMEHOW, SOMEWAY, GET OUT. Yes it is scary, yes it is exhausting, yes you will make people mad but do it.
