My heart is completely rips a Part! My ex husband my daughters dad abused her. She has ptsd and having flashbacks. Does anyone understand? I feel so helpless I can't take away her pain!

How old is she? What's the custody agreement?

You can't take away the past, but you can take steps now and from now on.

I'd go the police and get legal advice. Also get her into aftercare with a therapist specializing in trauma.

She is almost 17. She hasn't seen him since she was 8. She is starting trauma therapy this week.

I'm so sorry. Please make sure the therapist has additional training in trauma, abuse & ptsd recovery. Sadly many therapists don't understand the dynamics of abuse, let alone the recovery process.
