Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Leaving an abusive relationship is difficult, but being alone can feel worse. All your happily married friends are still happily married, and here you are suddenly single. Its a huge adjustment. Even though youve triumphed by getting out of a bad situation, theres often an underlying sense of failure. Theres enormous pressure to be a couple in this society.
Loneliness: It is not uncommon to feel loneliness, or a fear of loneliness, after leaving an abusive relationship. The isolation often imposed by abusers can leave us feeling alone and disconnected. An abuser may have tried to convince us that no one will want us or that we are unacceptable. We may fear being alone the rest of our life. This is a good time to connect to the family of God. A support group can be a big help.
AND REMEMBER, WE ARE ALL HERE FOR YOU, SO IF YOU HAVE TO TALK JUST COME BACK ON D.S
~Hang in there~
Self-discovery: Where once we may have had to focus on the demands of our abuser, we now find our own preferences, talents, and uniqueness.
Rediscovery: No, you didn't really lose those parts of yourself. They were only sleeping. You may be surprised as they pop up when you least expect it.
New possibilities: Where once we thought there could be no life after a relationship, we now start to get glimpses of new possibilities, and of the immensity of our God.
any one can be there but not everyone will be there for you.
Don't be confused.
Life with a narcissist
is the ULTIMATE HELL.
Poverty is a picnic
compared to
being together
with a narcissist.
You will end up feeling
like you're in the seventh
circle of the final hell.
DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A narcissist will NOT provide you with safety. They will slowly destroy your mental and physical health. A pet rottweiler will keep you safer and give you more love than the man you are with.
Check with your bank or real estate agent. There may be a "cooling off" period in which you can get out of the paperwork that you signed.
I wonder if you were crying like that during the closing and everything, if you could't have a case where you could honestly claim you were in no frame of mind to make that kind of legal commitment. Just trying to think of a way you could get out of it.
