here we go again..

so today I get a phone call from my husband who has been working out of town for the past 7months and found a girlfriend...
He called to ask me if we can make it without a paycheck? because he needs his family, and on Wednesday he is coming home for good and on the way home he will call me, for me to change his phone number because when he leaves he is not saying goodbye to her, he is just leaving..
I want so much to believe him and want to work on my marriage with him but I don't trust a word out of his mouth..
I also have this sick since of a haha moment that I now get to call her and tell her how I feel as she has been calling me telling me its not her fault that I cant keep my husband..
All I know is one of my kids will be happy to have him home and one will not.. in fact my daughter just texted me asking if TOM will be home for Christmas. not DAD..
I'm so hurt by everything and don't know what to do..

You are really in a tough spot, especially with your children old enough to know what is going on. I know one child wants him home and one doesn't, but what do YOU want? Do you love him enough and does he treat you well when he is home? That is what you have to figure out whether or not it's worth trying to save your marriage. He will need to have a very long talk with you and the family, especially his daughter. I can understand your pain so you will have to keep asking yourself whether your marriage is worth saving. What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall, listening to what you say to her and how she responds. Karma baby!!! Hugs GB

The first question that comes to mind is has he ever done this before??
That question does not have to be answered to us. If I were you it may make an impact on my decision whether or not to take him back.
You are in a tough situation though, and I really don't know about getting the trust back in your relationship.
I guess, like gramybear says, is your marriage worth saving and how has he treated you these past 22 years??
It's all up to what you want and feel is the right thing to do.

Oh wow you are really going through it on the holidays and i thought I had it pretty bad. I am so sorry to hear all that. You do know it was your husbands decision to be with that ugly sounding woman so he is responsible for doing what he did right? Its not the girl who really did that to you its him! I know it is terrible and I would want to get at her too for saying things like that to me! I want to do the same with my ex's ex wife but its him who does these things not her in reality. They feel like they won the prize but really they are the losers. Also your poor daughter is probably very hurt and disgusted by what her father is doing and I don't blame her for feeling that way. She sounds pretty smart to me! I hope you examine everything and make a good decision. Usually that just leads to more pain and problems. When my ex left and went with another woman for a summer I took him back very reluctantly and what he did also killed a lot of what little we did have. I felt resentful all the time, unhappy with him, and realized that its never going to work and it was a waste of my time. Some things don't get better with men like that.
