Then don't go there anymore. Your situation is complicated, but that stuff is not going to help you deal with it.

Im learning that others perceptions of me are based on their reality... not mine. People can be judgemental and downright nasty. Please be gentler on yourself. Did you learn something from your mistake? If so then you can look at it as a speedbump. Not a roadblock. They are judging you from their own places of fear and pain. Most people have no clue what it feels like when you are down to feeling like you are nothing not even really an accessory and then someone notices that you have thoughts of ur own. That you have merit and value. Most people don't get that and even some that do get it are so afraid to admit their own mess that they judge others rather than embrace themselves. Dont go to places that beat you up just because you may feel that you deserve it. Please please know that you don't. Not a single person on earth is free of mistakes.

Yea I got the crap beat out of me verbally on the divorce group and I don't go there anymore either.

I know that is the last thing you needed to hear and I'm sorry they were insulting that way, but you know who you are and that's not who you are, so remember your opinion of yourself is the only opinion that matters.

I hate hearing about situations like this. These are supposed to be SUPPORT groups. People need to keep their judgemental opinions to themselves if they can't give support. This is supposed to feel like a safe place for everyone.

No one knows anybody's whole story, so occasionally we can misstep.

I've gotten "bitten" on another divorce site because I was lucky (*sarcasm*) enough to have my spouse die and I "got it all" according to one poster. Meaning, our wills were unchanged and I was the executor and sole heir to his estate. No.....we weren't rich, that's just how it's phrased.

I left that site because I felt almost betrayed. I never thought I "got it all." My children and I have a lot of unanswered questions and my daughter suffers daily.

Sometimes it's best just to exit.

I know how frustrating that can be. I've gotten similar reactions many of the times I've posted about my abusers and/or how I ended up with ptsd in this and other support groups on DS.

It seems like certain situations and issues are just a bit too touchy even in the support groups you would expect to find support for them in.

Sleepy walrus, I'm very curious to hear more of your story. I've only ever seenbits and pieces of things when you are responding to others posts. I'm sure I've offended you and I am sorry for that. I know I have responded to things you have said while still triggered by it which is never out of a place of support and love. I hope that you will feel free to share your thoughts eventually.
