Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Love this! Thank You!!
Gives me hope!
Now THAT was freakishly well written and timely!
Thanks!
Cheers to all of us who grow like plants and blossom. :)
I've noticed that about weeds too--you have to have respect for them because they just keep popping up no matter how hard your grandpa tries to annihilate them.
I'm glad your plant pulled through. I've found that many of my plants are dying. It feels like part of my heart is dying with them--but I just can't do it anymore. It's expensive and the soil won't keep water here--it's on a hill and I don't want to pour more hundreds of dollars and elbow grease into my H's house.
Am I heartless enough to let our plants die? Yes. It's very weird.
But I try to remind myself that it's not only me who is letting them die. (I'm talking about big outdoor plants).
Sometimes things have to die too, right? Death is part of life.
I suppose while you are reclaiming a home, I am declaiming one. So, it's OK to let some things die as long as I don't put any new plants in, right?
I still have my own small garden that is doing well. I just feel bad for the fruit trees. They are on a slanted hill and need both compost and burms dug--its a big job and it seems bigger knowing that this isn't even my house.
I don't know why, but I am just watching them die. Maybe I'll go water them--though the water will just run off the sand.
To counteract my prior down post I will say something uplifting about plants.
I agree that the life force is amazing.
Another amazing thing about plants is their peaceful nature. They don't have to hurt others to live, they just take in the free sunshine.
As vulnerable as they may seem, they are very successful. They put all their energy into growing. An arm falls off? It's okay--they just grow it back.
A big mean tiger steps on them and breaks off a flower? No problem--they get to work growing. Their mantra is "grow, grow, grow."
Are plants out there, bent on revenge? Will they come after the tiger and break his leg off? Nope. That's why they are so successful. They don't waste their energy on that stuff.
Plants are great. I love them. The end.
Sorry again for the down post--and to make so many posts in the thread--I just felt it was important.
Feed it and love it and give it the light it needs........
And it becomes a flower and flourishes bringing with it, its new growth and light.
As Ilene says....
We are ALL like a flower on the stem of the Universe.
Lets nurture each other and grow!
