Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
As we end this Memorial Day I want to give A BIG Shout out to all those who have served , continue to serve and who will serve in the future. Thank You., As the day is ending I remember my dad and what a great man he was also. My Mom left our family when I was 10 and was out of my life for 25 years. My dad stayed and continued to raise my brother and I. We struggled, we fought, we cried ,we laughed, But most of all we made it through. Thank you Dad for everything, I miss you everyday and I love you always forever in my Heart. I am the woman I am because of you. The last few years have been tough , But your Strong, hard headed daughter is picking herself back up once again and Toughing it out with a Smile on my face and a tear on my cheek.
I second you in your thanks to all past, present, and future servicemen.
My father (RIP) was in the Navy, & his GS, my nephew, is currently serving in same.
Glad to read that you are looking forward and moving "onward & upward" in life. I'm sure that he would be proud of you.
