Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
Went upstairs this morning and came back downstairs after getting ready for school and the first thing i heard was "you're a shame to this family. Loser." Then my mom said "you had to buy chicken noodle soup instead of the kind I made. It's really good but NOOOOO you had to buy this crap. I am on the verge of crying right now.
You can buy whatever soup you want. That she sees this as an attack on her is simply her using soup to beat you up verbally. It has nothing to do with you!
My dad told me he would die of shame if anyone knew I had seen a counsellor about his and my mother's treatment of me... essentially saying that I was a shame to them. My husband called me a loser too. It really, really hurts, but we are neither! We are fantastic! :)
