So, let me start this by saying that in the 18+ years I've known my h he had never once complimented me. Oh, he's made comments like"no one else can compare", but no honest compliments. So imagine my shock when he comes in the house tonight, I'm standing in the kitchen washing dishes, hestops and stares at me, then says "Wow, sometimes I forget how beautiful you are". I was taken aback, so I just kind of looked at him with that deer in the headlights look. He goes on to say how most married women just let themselves go and get fat, old, and ugly so why haven't I? I'm truly not sure where this is going, and apparently my body reacted before my brain caught up because I could feel myself getting tense and starting to shake.....I hate that reaction! Anyway, apparently this compliment was really just the basis for another attack because from there it became that he knows the reason I still take care of myself is because I'm either sleeping with someone else or actively looking for his replacement. I'm just wondering does anyone else get "compliments" that are really attacks? This is crazy!!!!
