Physical & Emotional Abuse Support Group
Abuse is a general term for the treatment of someone that causes some kind of harm (to the abused person, to the abusers themselves, or to someone else) that is unlawful or wrongful. No one deserves abuse, period. Abuse can be emotional, physical, or sexual.
I tried to leave it at NC yesterday even with him calling me at work and at home and leaving voicemails to call. I recalled that in my text I had asked him if he had the number of the nuerologist that he had found for me when we were dating though and then I felt guilty about that.
I should not have asked him for a favor even if it was a small one. I am no longer his responsibility nor he mine.
So I did text him, really late last night, on purpose so that there was no way he could possibly answer or text back (about 11:30pm) I was up so late as my nerves were on high alert and I couldn't sleep.
I really do feel badly about losing him as a friend and if there was a way around this, a way I could maintain a friendship, believe me I would do it. But I see no way without further damage to my heart. :(
My text is as follows and I would like opinions if I was too cold and callous. I tried to be firm without being deliberately mean or misleading.
" Hey just got in and got your voicemail. I found that number so I am good. Take care."
I tried to be polite and to the point. And leave it at no reason to contact me and try for NC again.

I am learning an entirely new vocab through this experience!
Then called back right after again with no message.
Of course I was in the middle of a sound sleep when he did these calls and I had trouble getting back to sleep, then when I did get back to sleep a painting I had hanging for probably 2 years in my bedroom came crashing down about 2 hours later and that scared the crap out of me, so it was a long night trying to settle back down and get any sleep. At work now and it has been a long day.
